Probably not Much

What’s to say that hasn’t already been said?  Probably not much.

I have lived all over the world and currently reside in Turkey.  I recommend traveling.  You meet cool people with different cultural identities.  Different religions. Different foods. Different clothing.  The easiest way to connect is to follow suit with what the locals are doing.

I have eaten bugs in Cambodia.  Been asked why I am cleaning a beach in Bali and been told, oh, no, you’re not a tourist.  You’re a local by Rudy, a Costa Rican, on New Years Day as we chatted about the party that left the streets strewn with litter.

There is a line drawn about what one does to fit in.  That is coming full circle.  The United States Government has committed crimes against the people it serves and has allowed perpetrators to inflict harm to many marginalized groups but especially Blacks.

I don’t know what to say other than when the dust settles, send a message, buy a flight and let’s go for a long mountain run in turkey and share whatever fruits and vegetables are in season.

2020 sucks.  For it to get better many things need to change at the top concerning those who govern us and those who protect us.  I stand in solidarity with whatever the Left chooses to change and however they choose to implement that change.

Life is hard.  It always will be but it doesn’t have to be painful.  I am here to help.

Be Safe and Be well,

A retired and tired teacher
