Catastrophic Chaos

If we don’t understand where we have been and how we arrived at the now, we are doomed to repeat an unwanted past. Color – Gender – Ethnicity are irrelevant to the type of future we are inching towards. The only relevance is how many positives zeroes you hold. The less you have, the more you need to connect with others.

I am not angry. I am not bitter. I am not sad. I am real and I am looking through my eyes of experience and wondering where we go. I would like it to be a happy place for more but the tell tale signs of suffering to come are clear.

It is not surprising to me that we elected a felon as a president as it is not surprising to me that through my west facing window I will enjoy a sunset. Most are and most don’t.

Society is a construct. Man-made. And without it, we are all living in the jungle surviving. All people will do what they need to to survive. That is a reasonable deduction. No other species created through evolution or God does not so I am not surprised that we would follow suit.

The jungle exists in real time for many. Catastrophic chaos. Whether you are a Palestinian whose land has just been claimed by your Israeli neighbor or a parent who is trying to feed and cloth their child. They live in the jungle. Those who live around them, live in society and see them as lesser because it is an easier point of view.

Some might disagree. I only need to look so far as America’s Constitution to see the proof. Americans at the founding of our nation were given the right to own people(slaves). These people were advertised as being lesser because they spoke different languages, ate different foods and wore different dress. Different will never equal lesser unless it’s through the lens of the oppressor(villain).

What is befuddling is that the pyramid scheme of lesser is ingrained in us as a collective society and we continue to believe that we have the ability to move up or that we somehow are beholden or connected to the ruling class. Mathematically we are not.

The rulers of the world of which there are many now have nine plus zeroes attached to their wealth. Nine. On a good day, I have five. Mathematically I am closer to the person with nothing living under the bridge than anyone who has power to actuate real change for the common good and the benefit of society. Anyone living paycheck to paycheck without zeroes in the bank is mathematically a modern day slave without power or voice.

For those of us living in the jungle, I ask you to use your voice to connect with others to build a loud society that challenges and fights against our oppressors. Those in their society who view us as nothing more or less than an interesting animal in the wild that is closer to captivity than free.
